F1 FORMULA ONE SGP FLAG MARSHAL

26 September 2008 - 28 Sept 2008 F1 Singapore Grand Prix

I was part of history as the first F1 Night Race in Singapore speed thru the Marina Circuit. After months of training (e-modules & theory at SMU and practical at Marina Circuit and Turf City as I was an officially a Flag Marshal posted at Turn 13.6.

Nothing equal the experience as Lewis Hamilton, Felipe Massa, Alonso or Raikonen blast past my Flag Post touching barely my yellow flag as the Safety Car was deployed. With fellow Flaggies (Flag Marshals), communicating to the Drivers with our flags & DigiFlag is as real as it gets, living the dream for F1 Superfans like us.

As Tony Martin said, you could spent $10,000 on VIP ticket to view F1 races but nothing beats the experience as Renault, Mclarens or Ferrari zoom past you, shattering with lightning speed, leaving your body vibrated & still wondering it's gonna be a crash at the next Turn 14 after your Sector.
My Turn 13.6 Sector Marshal in Charge - Ashley Penhall said, " I wasted my money in Adelaide or Melbourne just by lookin the F1 or V8 blast past. It's the action guys. And the action is down on the track & get my hands dirty pushing Ferrari & Renault when it stalled , engine blew or picking up pieces of debris from BMW Sauber & Mclaren hot engines....
Don't believe what these guys are saying, check it out & look for yourself.. .....
